Chizuko's Email / Album Review
I
got this email from a fan of ours, who happens to be a Japanese woman
(she's here in the Philippines filming a documentary on the Japanese
War's comfort women). Her name is Chizuko, but her nickname is Cheese.
I think her email is very cute, so i decided to share it with you.

Kumusta ka na?
i had wanted to email you but there is not internet in our guesthouse.
i am writing this email at internet cafe.
even though, i am eager to mail you^^
because...
i like your new album!
actually..., to tell you the truth...
i was very afraid to listen your new album even though you told that it was much better than noon time show.
because i love your 2nd album.
i didn't hope to disappoint you and your 3rd album, i would like to keep being your fan.
so i was very afraid to listen it^^;;;;
BUT!
now i know that was too stupid worrying.
i love your new album!
i love all songs, taragang taraga.
nevertheless, if you will ask me which song my favorite is,
i will need a lot of hours for choosing it.
and depending on my mood, i should change my answer^^
but i can promise you that i always love;
'Sino Ka Nga Ba?'
'Misis Fely Nimfa Ang Pangalan'
and
'Isang Al Frescong Takip-Silim Sa Cafe Francois'
'Awitin Para Sa Mga Nagmumuni-muni'
i like the sounds of acostice guitar,
so i like 'Sino Ka Nga Ba?' as same as 'fond of you' in your 1st album.
i am sure that this song should be loved by many people over the world.
melody line gives me comfortableness,
like as saying 'you are ok, you don't have to do harder, you can rest'.
in the case of 'Misis Fely Nimfa Ang Pangalan',
i always listen to this song with something nostalgia, as feeling of longing for love.
'Pataasan Ng Weewee' and 'Steady Lang Tayo' also make me happy.
Recently there are a lot of songs like hard rock, R&B, Digital music, etc.
and many musician are eager to try to make their originality,
and they seem to think that a deviation is cool, originality, fashion, etc.
but we, listers sometimes may feel uncomfortable such a sound, actually.
so that's why i was afraid of listening your new album with wishing something new.
but your new album is high standard, very enjoyable, very cute, and well-balanced present for all listers.
i am very happy to know you and this album.
and that's why i want to ask you,
'why did you produce this album like this?'
something new, and something old.
but that is the new.
for example, 'Steady Lang Tayo' is like 70's or 80's sounds for me.
but this is very cute and beautiful in this album.
kailangan ko alis dito sa filipinas sa 30 agosto.
gust kong pumunta sa gig mo as much as i can before i leave here.
kasi gust kong aalam ng mga kanta mo sa tinga ko.
(is this tagalog correct???? i want to say,
i want to etch your sound in my ears)
anyhow...
i just want to send my moving to your songs, though i cannot express it well in english.
